While our non-profit association was formed in 2026, the Clackamas County SWAT Team was founded in 1977.

Mid-1980's - 7 member team
Mid-1990's - 12 member team
2000 to 2009 - 16 member team
2012 - 26 member team became inter-agency, including 10 members from city police departments
2015 - SWAT with the Hostage Negotiations Team (HNT)

Where we are today
In 2026, the Clackamas County SWAT Association has donated several grocery giftcards to law enforcement families experiencing financial hardship due to prolonged ailments and injuries.
